BGA/LGA Test Sockets
Antares Advanced Test Technologies was the first socket manufacturer to deliver Ball Grid Array (BGA) test sockets. We also designed and produced the first BGA test socket with 15 GHz bandwidth at -1 dB. Today, we are producing sockets and contactors that will accommodate BGA and LGA packages with up to 3,000 contacts, at 0.4mm pitch, with contact resistance less than 5 mΩ for manual and automatic test applications.

Test Socket and Contactor Design
Our design process is highly automated from computer-aided design (CAD), that includes 3D electrical and mechanical modeling, to computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).


Our design approach is application specific to optimize performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Therefore, we employ spring-loaded contact pins, conductive elastomer, or another contact design in a fixed- or floating-base socket or contactor depending on which approach best meets the critical requirements of a specific test application.

Test and Verification
Test socket verification can range from a continuity test to a complete characterization of the socket’s resistance, capacitance, inductance, bandwidth, power and crosstalk.



Quick Turn Sockets

Antares Advanced Test Technologies is responding to industry demands by offering a line of semi-custom test sockets that are delivered within 5 days after receipt of order. The semiconductor market continues to move and evolve at an alarming rate. Product time-to-market is critical for all semiconductor companies, and products are being developed at rates never before seen in the industry. Test hardware engineers no longer have the luxury of time in product development cycles to procure consumables as they did before. In response to these industry demands Antares Advanced Test Technologies offers customers the opportunity to procure test sockets and drawings that will expedite the consumables procurement process.

Receive footprint drawings within 24 hours after receipt of order, and test sockets within 5 days. The Quick Turn Series (QT Series) consists of strategically designed common components that are in stock at all times. A small number of key components are tailored to accommodate customer packages resulting in a proven, high quality, production worthy test contactor and lid assembly that will expedite "time-to-test", consequently improving "time to market".
